Slide No 1 comparison visual and text design

Purpose

My purpose to create this web blog is doing issues in publication design project. Moreover, I do this web in purpose to learn more about this subject through the media which is web blog. This web blog targeted my class mate, lectures, and everyone who wants to learn and has an interest with this subject.

What is a Good Document

A good document is document that has a good structure of writing. Writing is one of the important things in making a good document because through writing we can give the information to the reader. Therefore, before writing a document we have to know who is your reader? what are they need?, and how will they can get the information effectively?. 'Writing is the process of using language to discover meaning in experience and to communicate (Murray,1982, p. 73).This is very important because it makes reader easier to understand the information.

Learn to make a good document and writing is very important for people especially college students. Students should practice composing with bursts of non-stop free writing, heedless of errors and typos. They need to be taught heuristics for composing, questions they can ask themselves that help them go deeper, stay on track, try a fruitful digression, articulate a central research question (Wallace, 1994, pp. 34—40). In this article I will compare my group presentation with my individual presentation to give more explanation about what is a good document.

In addition, document design also important to make a good document. It makes people interest to read and to understand the document easily. According to MacKenzie (1994) document design emphasizes the need to consistently and appropriately combine words and their graphic form to create information that is reachable and usable for readers. According to Diana Reep (2006, pp 135) a good document design have to balance and have to proportion to attract the reader. In our group presentation we used a balance and proportion. However, we just focus on the text rather then image to explain some of points in our presentation. Therefore, in my individual presentation I used pictures to emphasize the message ( Slide No 1).According to Diana Reep (2006, p 134) design features directing people to increase the ability of readers to remember the important, highlighted sections, increased the reader interested, and reflects the image you wish readers to have. Beside that, in my group presentation we use some arguments to support our points. I decided to keep using arguments in my individual presentation to support my points( Slide No 2). According to SeIzer (1989, pp. 44—47) Writers can give the explanation about the information and then give arguments for it or give the evidence first before the explanation.
